Job summary

Pet Supplies Plus is seeking a Bather/Student Groomer (Groom Tech) to help groom and bathe pets and learn through our Paragon School of Pet Grooming. You'll work with neighbors and their pets, performing brushing, bathing, nail trim, and basic grooming tasks.

This entry-level role emphasizes safety and customer service, with paid training and a free grooming toolkit on hire. Flexible evenings, weekends, and holidays are required; experience with pets is welcome but not required.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail or other industry working with pets is a plus.
• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Ability to move or lift merchandise, equipment or pets weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Candidates must pass a drug screening where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Delighting neighbors and pets with grooming services, such as brushing, bathing, and trimming nails.
• Learning the skills to become a groomer through the online distance program.
• Ensuring the wellness and safety of furry patrons.
• Developing long-term relationships with neighbors by understanding their needs and recommending products and services.
• Performing routine cleaning to keep the grooming area inviting.
• Completing Safety Training certification.
• Assisting store team during grooming downtime.
