Job summary

Pet Supplies Plus is seeking a Bather/Student Groomer (Groom Tech) in our store to learn and grow through the Paragon School of Pet Grooming. You will assist with bathing, brushing, nail trimming, and basic grooming while delivering friendly, neighborly service to pets and their people.

As you complete the free online training, you’ll gain hands-on skills that pave the way to becoming a full groomer, with paid certification opportunities and a toolkit provided upon enrollment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to move or lift merchandise, equipment or pets weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Flexibility in working evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Candidates must pass a drug screening where applicable and be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Delighting neighbors and pets with grooming services, such as brushing, bathing, and trimming nails.
• Learning and demonstrating all skills to become a groomer through the online distance program.
• Ensuring the wellness and safety of furry patrons.
• Developing long-term relationships with neighbors by understanding needs and recommending products and services.
• Performing routine cleaning to keep the grooming environment inviting.
• Assisting store team members during grooming downtime.
