Job summary

Pet Supplies Plus is hiring a Bather/Student Groomer (Groom Tech) to learn grooming skills and deliver friendly, neighborly service to pets and their people. The program includes free, paid training through Paragon School of Pet Grooming with a bonus tool kit valued at over $600 upon enrollment.

Qualifications

• Retail or pet-care experience preferred but not required.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Able to move or lift merchandise, equipment or pets weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand, bend or stoop for extended periods of time.

Responsibilities

• Delighting Neighbors and pets with grooming services, such as brushing, bathing, and trimming nails.
• Learning and demonstrating all the skills necessary to become a groomer through the online distance program.
• Always ensuring the wellness and safety of furry patrons.
• Developing long-term relationships with Neighbors by understanding their needs and recommending products and services that will keep their pet healthy and happy.
• Performing routine cleaning to keep the grooming environment fun and inviting.
• Successfully completing Safety Training certification.
• Assisting store team members during grooming downtime.
