Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking a store leadership professional to drive day-to-day operations and develop a high-performing team across multiple departments.

You will mentor staff, implement staffing and training plans, and focus on delivering outstanding customer service while meeting sales and shrink targets. The role requires a high school diploma, 2-3 years of retail experience, and at least 1 year in a supervisory capacity.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or its equivalent required.
• 2-3 years of related retail experience.
• One year of management experience.
• Rotational assignments in other areas of the store such as meat, bakery, produce and deli; also customer service and product flow experience is helpful.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate to team members in the organization in a way that provides clear and precise direction.
• Demonstrated ability to resolve conflict and by addressing root cause issues.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze financial and statistical information and use that information to make informed decisions.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct and supervise team members in day-to-day store operations across departments.
• Mentor and coach team members to improve service and sales.
• Implement strategies to meet staffing needs and drive customer satisfaction.
• Maintain store appearance and product presentation to company standards during prime hours.
• Uphold company policies, safety standards and training requirements.
• Support P&L objectives and control shrink in the department.
