Sprouts Farmers Market in San Diego, CA, is seeking an Assistant Grocery Manager to support the Grocery Manager and lead one of the store’s busiest teams, ensuring excellent customer service and efficient operations.

You will oversee ordering, inventory controls, product quality, and staff development while enforcing health and safety guidelines. A flexible schedule, strong communication, and leadership to drive sales, margins, and inventory are essential.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age and 1-3 years retail management experience.
• Be dependable with flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Strong communication skills written and verbal.
• Outgoing and friendly demeanor with leadership ability to motivate staff.
• Detail-oriented with strong organization and planning skills.
• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs. milk trays and up to 50 lbs. boxes; bending and squatting as required.
• Must comply with health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Grocery Manager in managing and merchandising the department for maximum productivity and profit.
• Responsible for ordering and inventory controls, product quality, and supervision of the Grocery team.
• Coordinate merchandising and sales through planning, direction, goal setting, communication, and teamwork.
• Assist in hiring, teaching, training, developing the Grocery Team.
• Unload and sort through store deliveries.
• Ensure execution of health, safety, and sanitation guidelines/regulations by all Grocery team members.
