Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market in San Diego, CA is seeking an Assistant Grocery Manager to help lead one of our busiest store teams. You will support the Grocery Manager with daily operations and customer-focused service.

This role involves ordering, inventory controls, coaching the Grocery team, and ensuring adherence to health and safety guidelines while delivering a fast-paced shopping experience. Competitive pay and growth opportunities accompany this position.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–3 years retail management experience.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist Grocery Manager in managing and merchandising the department for maximum productivity and profit.
• Responsible for ordering and inventory controls, product quality, and supervision of the Grocery team.
• Coordinate merchandising and sales through ongoing planning, direction, goal setting, communication, and teamwork.
• Assist in leading a team that brainstorms to deliver the finest quality of product, highest level of service, and the greatest experience your customers will receive.
• Assist in hiring, teaching, training, developing the Grocery team.
• Unload and sort through store deliveries.
• Ensure the execution of all company health, safety, and sanitation guidelines/regulations, and validate that other Grocery team members are also aware of, and following, these procedures.
