Qualifications

• Strong leadership and coaching abilities with a focus on staff development.
• Experience in staffing, scheduling, and hiring to meet store needs.
• Ability to analyze financial data and drive sales while controlling shrink.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a positive company image by providing courteous, friendly, and efficient service to customers and team members.
• Oversee staffing, selection and hiring to meet store staffing needs.
• Promote career paths and development, including promotion decisions.
• Document disciplinary actions and make discharge recommendations.
• Accountable for P&L, sales targets, and shrink control for the department.
• Model fast, friendly customer service and lead by example.
• Communicate Meijer Friendly Initiative in meetings and interactions.
• Mentor team members to meet customer service and sales goals and maintain Meijer standards.
• Ensure staff are trained and have completed required training.
• Spend most time in-store engaging with customers and teams to deliver exceptional service.
• Maintain safe work environment and reliable attendance.
