Sprouts Farmers Market in Trenton, NJ seeks an Assistant Grocery Manager to help lead one of the store's busiest teams, ensure excellent customer service, and support the Grocery Manager in driving productivity and profitability.

You will oversee inventory controls, staff development, scheduling, and adherence to health and safety guidelines, while delivering a fresh, healthy shopping experience for customers. This role offers growth opportunities within a fast-paced, people-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age and 1–3 years retail management experience.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Strong written and verbal communication and teamwork.
• Ability to lead and develop a Grocery team and analyze sales reports.
• Physical ability to lift up to 60 lbs milk trays and 50 lbs boxes as described.
• Knowledge of natural foods preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Grocery Manager in managing and merchandising the department for maximum productivity and profit.
• Responsible for ordering and inventory controls, product quality, and supervision of the Grocery team.
• Coordinate merchandising and sales through planning, direction, goal setting, communication, and teamwork.
• Lead a team to deliver the finest product quality and customer experience.
• Assist in hiring, teaching, training, and developing the Grocery Team.
• Unload and sort store deliveries and ensure safety guidelines are followed.
