Responsibilities

• Engage peers to provide the best possible shopping experience.
• Communicate with team members and assign daily tasks.
• Coach and mentor team members to meet sales goals and standards.
• Support training of new team members and cross-training.
• Assist with department scheduling to improve engagement and profitability.
• Monitor product freshness and aging policies for compliance.
• Ensure food safety standards and safe work practices.
• Lead in ordering, receiving, stocking, pricing and displays where applicable.
• Foster an inclusive environment and Meijer culture.
• Operate registers and handle cash when needed.
• Participate in period-end inventories as required.
• May act in Lead capacity in other departments as needed.
