Job summary

Hanover Consumer Co-op Society seeks a customer-focused team member to support daily retail operations and department needs. You will stock, prepare, package, and maintain product areas for retail sales while assisting customers with inquiries and supporting supervisors.

The role emphasizes pursuing excellent service, accurate merchandising, and adherence to co-op policies. Candidates should have basic computer skills and be flexible to weekend/evening shifts in a cooperative work environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in ECRS POS system and processes.
• Proficiency in use of computer software, Office 365, Excel and Word.
• Excellent follow through.

Responsibilities

• Stock assigned areas with available product, minimizing empty shelf space and shrink.
• Face accurately and neatly to maximize sales.
• Rotate stock to ensure freshest products are available and to inspect for quality and out of date products.
• Answer, page, and transfer phone calls promptly and efficiently.
• Serve as a mentor to new staff in the department and retrain staff as needed.
