Job summary

Kroger is seeking a department supervisor to deliver an outstanding customer experience and maintain a safe, clean environment. You will direct all department functions, support daily Grocery operations, and promote the Customer 1st strategy while upholding our values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety.

Responsibilities include supervising inventory, training staff, planning price changes, and ensuring compliance with food safety laws.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Management experience preferred.
• 1 year grocery retail experience desired.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to all food safety regulations and maintain proper temperatures.
• Report safety risks, theft, or fraud; notify management of incidents.
• Train associates on inventory/stocking and CAO processes.
• Plan, organize and supervise the inventory process.
• Schedule price changes and update shelf tags and signs.
• Maintain awareness of inventory conditions and discrepancies.
• Assist management with budgeting, P&L reviews, and financial reports.
• Monitor and control department expenses.
• Stay informed about ads and promotions.
• Create and execute sales promotions with store management.
• Understand store layout and locate products.
• Respond to product questions and suggest alternatives.
• Follow all laws and company guidelines.
• Train and develop associates and conduct performance reviews.
