Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market in New Jersey is seeking a Grocery Manager to lead multiple departments including Grocery, Dairy, Frozen Food, and the Beer/Wine program. You’ll drive sales, ensure freshness, manage schedules, and coach a diverse team to deliver top-notch customer service.

You’ll oversee inventory, verify deliveries, and collaborate with HR on performance and staffing decisions, while maintaining safety and regulatory standards in a fast-paced store environment.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership ability to coach and develop team members.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Experience in managing a multi-department retail operation.
• Food Safety certification and knowledge of applicable regulations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee sales and operations of multiple departments (Grocery, Dairy, Frozen Food, Beer/Wine).
• Ensure product freshness, proper rotation, date controls and loss prevention.
• Manage labor costs, scheduling and inventory to maximize profitability.
• Coordinate receiving, verify invoices, and report shortages or overages.
• Lead team development, coaching, and performance reviews two times per year.
• Recruit, hire, promote and transfer staff in collaboration with Store Manager.
