Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking a Grocery Manager to run multiple departments including Grocery, Dairy, Frozen, and Beer/Wine. You will drive sales, optimize operations, and supervise a team to deliver fresh products and great service.

Responsibilities include inventory coordination, scheduling, coaching, and collaboration with the Store Manager on hiring and promotions. A strong focus on safety, cost control, and staff development is essential.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age and have 1 year managerial or supervisory experience in a multi-department operation within retail, hospitality, or service industries.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and the ability to take and give direction in a team environment.
• Outgoing, friendly demeanor with a positive attitude toward customers.
• Proven leadership ability to motivate staff and meet financial goals.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical and problem solving skills.
• Have and maintain Food Safety certification and ensure compliance with regulations for product freshness, safety, weights and measures, store safety, and sanitation.
• Strong organization and planning skills; able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks.
• Ability to manage schedules and staffing levels.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operations for Grocery, Dairy, Frozen, and Beer/Wine departments.
• Ensure proper product handling, rotation, and date controls.
• Control costs by managing labor and reducing shrink, damage, and pilferage.
• Prepare store for physical inventory counts.
• Oversee unloading of deliveries and verify against invoices.
• Lead scheduling and staffing; coach team members and conduct performance reviews.
• Attend in-store meetings and collaborate with the Store Manager.
• Recruit, hire, and promote/transfer in collaboration with the Store Manager.
• Address team concerns and take corrective actions as needed.
• Deliver high quality products and customer service and create the best customer experience.
• Serve as Key Carrier or Manager on Duty as needed.
