Food Lion in Sneads Ferry, NC is seeking a Grocery Department Manager to lead daily store operations, hire and train department staff, and drive sales while maintaining high standards of customer service.

You will manage labor, control expenses, ensure safety and sanitation, and collaborate with the store management team to meet financial goals and deliver an outstanding shopping experience for customers.

Qualificações

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and customer service skills.
• Good understanding of store operations preferred.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Ability to use technical information to solve problems.
• Ability to lead and direct others.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job functions.
• Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Accredited by the National Registry of Food Safety Professionals or equivalent as a "Certified Food Safety Manager" or obtain accreditation within 90 days of employment.

Responsabilidades

• Manage the Grocery Department, including hiring, training and developing department associates
• Supervise the performance of all duties and responsibilities of department associates and provide ongoing performance management and training
• Daily management of labor and coaching to achieve productivity
• Provide leadership to promote a culture reflecting Guiding Principles, Core Values, Vision and Strategy
• Support the achievement of budgeted financial and operating results
• Offer outstanding customer service and create a positive shopping experience
• Control store expenses through proper ordering, care for supplies and equipment
• Ensure compliance with policies, laws and safety standards
• Maintain department appearance, quality, variety, safety and sanitation
• Schedule to provide extraordinary customer service at all times
• Understand scheduling, sales projections, wage percent, interviewing and training processes
• Observe safety and security procedures and report accidents
• Monitor shrink and assist with physical inventory
• Complete CBT and training courses
• Provide recognition and constructive counseling as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned
