Job summary

Safeway in Coolidge, AZ is seeking a grocery department team member to support the Grocery Manager and the Grocery Third Person in daily operations, including supervision and training of staff, and handling ordering, receiving, storing, pricing, rotating, stocking and merchandising.

Qualifications

• Requires understanding of company policies and procedures.
• Strong written and verbal communication, leadership and people skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
• Able to stand/walk for long periods and lift up to 80 lbs.
• Willing to work nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist with ordering, receiving, storing, pricing, stocking and merchandising.
• Assist in planning and directing day-to-day Grocery Department operations.
• Ensure compliance with sanitation, safety, security policies.
• Open/close store and back up cashier as needed.
• Manage shrink and prevent out-of-code products.
• Uphold attendance, grooming and dress code policies.
