Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market in Costa Mesa, CA is seeking an Assistant Grocery Manager to support the Grocery Manager in leading one of the store’s busiest teams. You will help with staffing, merchandising, inventory, and ensuring excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.

You’ll supervise daily operations, assist in hiring and development, and ensure health and safety compliance while driving store profitability and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Retail management experience preferred
• Able to lift up to 60 lbs and move boxes as part of daily duties
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Responsibilities

• Assist the Grocery Manager in managing and merchandising the department for maximum productivity and profit
• Responsible for ordering and inventory controls, product quality, and supervision of the Grocery team
• Coordinate merchandising and sales through planning, direction, and goal setting
• Help lead a team to deliver high quality products and service and the best customer experience
• Assist in hiring, training, and developing the Grocery Team
• Unload and sort store deliveries
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation guidelines
