Meijer Inc. is seeking a team-oriented leader to guide daily store operations and deliver exceptional customer experiences in our Munster, IN location. You will coach staff, manage tasks, and uphold safety and quality standards to meet department goals.

You will mentor teammates, coordinate schedules, and ensure accurate pricing, display, and inventory. A background in retail or customer service is preferred, with a commitment to inclusion and community.

Qualifications

• Passion for customer service and engagement with customers and teammates.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Retail or customer service experience preferred.
• Creative thinking and ability to influence others.
• Ability to build rapport quickly and create repeat business.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, bend and twist while handling product.

Responsabilités

• Engage peers to provide the best possible shopping experience.
• Communicate with team members and assign daily tasks.
• Mentor and coach teammates to exceed customer service and sales goals.
• Support training of new team members and cross-training of high-potential talent.
• Assist with department scheduling to improve engagement, service, and profitability.
• Ensure product freshness through rotation and dating policies.
• Lead team in compliance with safety standards and 200% accountability.
• Oversee ordering, receiving, stocking, pricing, and product displays where applicable.
• Operate a register and cash handling as needed; use powered equipment when required.
• Participate in period end inventories and other duties as assigned.
