Key Responsibilities:
- Inform customers about food specials and recommend grocery items to meet their needs.
- Check product quality, review 'sell by' dates, and take necessary actions.
- Provide customers with ordered grocery products, both fresh and non-perishable.
- Label, stock, and inventory department merchandise.
- Report discrepancies in product ordering or shipping to the manager.
- Stay updated on current, upcoming, seasonal, and promotional ads.
- Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines.
- Maintain proper temperatures in cases and coolers, keeping logs as required.
- Develop product knowledge and assist customers with questions and suggestions.
- Create a welcoming environment where customers feel valued and appreciated.
- Follow safety procedures, identify hazards, and notify management of unsafe conditions.
- Inspect equipment regularly and report repairs needed.
- Report any customer or employee accidents promptly.
- Work cooperatively in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment.
- Manage conflicts professionally and cooperatively.
- Maintain honesty and integrity with customer and business information.
- Follow directions and seek assistance to resolve issues.
