Create an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service. Establish and maintain a safe and clean environment that encourages our customers to return. Assist the department manager in reaching sales and profit goals established for the department and monitor all established quality assurance standards. Embrace the Customer 1st strategy and encourage associates to deliver excellent customer service. Responsibilities

1. Help customers discover new items or products they inquire about.
2. Inform customers of food specials and recommend grocery items to ensure they get what they want and need.
3. Check product quality to ensure freshness, review "sell by" dates, and take appropriate actions.
4. Provide customers with ordered fresh and non-perishable grocery products.
5. Label, stock, and inventory department merchandise.
6. Report product ordering/shipping discrepancies to the department manager.
7. Stay current with ads and promotions.
8. Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines.
9. Maintain proper temperatures in cases and coolers, and keep temperature logs.
10. Gain knowledge of products sold and respond to customer questions with suggestions.
11. Create a welcoming environment for customers.
12. Reinforce safety programs and identify unsafe conditions.
13. Inspect equipment and notify management of repairs needed.
14. Notify management of accidents.
15. Work cooperatively in high-paced, stressful environments.
16. Manage conflicts calmly and cooperatively.
17. Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
18. Follow directions and seek assistance when needed.
19. Support interactions with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
20. Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodations.

Qualifications
