Responsibilities:
  • Inform customers about food specials and recommend grocery items to meet their needs.
  • Check product quality, review "sell by" dates, and take appropriate action.
  • Provide customers with ordered grocery products, ensuring freshness and accuracy.
  • Label, stock, and inventory department merchandise.
  • Report discrepancies in product ordering/shipping to the department manager.
  • Stay informed about current, upcoming, seasonal, and promotional ads.
  • Adhere to food safety regulations and maintain proper temperatures and logs in cases and coolers.
  • Maintain knowledge of products and assist customers with questions and suggestions.
  • Create a welcoming environment for customers, making them feel valued and appreciated.
  • Follow safety procedures, identify unsafe conditions, and notify management.
  • Inspect equipment regularly and report repairs needed.
  • Report customer or employee accidents promptly.
  • Work cooperatively in a high-paced, sometimes stressful environment.
  • Manage conflicts calmly and cooperatively.
  • Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
  • Follow directions and seek help when needed to resolve issues.
  • Support and assist minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
  • Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
