Job summary

Eurofins Scientific is seeking a gRNA Process Development Scientist to join the guide-RNA (gRNA) process development team. The candidate will synthesize, purify, and characterize gRNAs to develop drug substance manufacturing processes for programs in clinical development.

The role includes executing synthesis and purification, routine analytics (HPLC/UV-Vis), preparing buffers, and documenting findings. Commutable to Boston, MA with full-time hours and strong safety culture.

Qualifications

• B.S./M.S. in chemistry/biochemistry with 2+ years of laboratory experience.
• Experience with oligonucleotide synthesis and purification equipment (gRNA or longmer work a plus).
• Experience operating analytical equipment such as AKTA chromatography systems, Agilent U/HPLC, gel electrophoresis, and NanoDrop.
• Experience with Tangential Flow Filtration (TFF).
• Ability to follow SOPs and document thoroughly (Benchling).
• Safety-conscious with strong attention to detail and organization.

Responsibilities

• Execute solid-phase synthesis and purification to support process development and transfer of oligonucleotide drug substance manufacturing.
• Perform routine analytics including HPLC and UV-Vis.
• Prepare buffers, reagents, and stock solutions following SOPs.
• Compile and present data to team members and stakeholders.
• Maintain lab notebook, order materials, and support equipment troubleshooting.
• Uphold lab safety to the highest standards.
