Qualifications

• Experience in grinding, machining, manufacturing engineering, tooling, or process development.
• Ability to interpret part drawings, GD&T, inspection results, and customer specifications.
• Strong experimental, analytical, and root-cause problem-solving skills.
• Hands-on ability to set up machines and safely conduct controlled trials.
• Ability to communicate technical results clearly to internal teams and customers.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct grinding trials, process development, capability studies, and customer runoffs.
• Select grinding wheels, dressing tools, speeds, feeds, depths of cut, coolant conditions, and measurement methods.
• Develop CNC cycles, setup sheets, process documentation, inspection plans, and training materials.
• Analyze cycle time, surface finish, geometry, wheel wear, thermal damage, vibration, and process stability.
• Work with engineering on fixtures, nozzles, dressers, wheel interfaces, automation, gaging, and machine improvements.
• Support customer demonstrations, factory acceptance tests, installation, training, and process troubleshooting.

Position Summary

• Creep-feed, profile, surface, OD, ID, CBN, diamond, or form-grindingexperience
• Experience with turbine components, hardened alloys, superalloys,ceramics, or advanced coatings
• CNC programming, metrology, statistical process control, or automationexperience

Creates repeatable processes that meet part quality,cycle-time, wheel-life, and customer-acceptance requirements.

• Full-time position based primarily on-site in Hauppauge, New York
• Typical company schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00p.m.; specific hours depend on the role
