You will read blueprints, set up grinders, and maintain tight tolerances per drawings. Join a team delivering parts for programs like F-35 and MQ-25, with strong safety, quality, and FTC standards.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED; ability to understand and apply verbal, written and computer work instructions in English.
• At least 3 years of experience as a precision machinist, preferably Grind Machinist.
• Proficiency using measuring equipment (micrometers, calipers, dial bore gauges).
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and instructions; hold tight tolerances (GD&T) .001 ± .0005.

Responsibilities

• Grind a wide variety of complex parts to extremely close tolerances and finishes on cylindrical, internal, or surface grinders.
• Perform own setups, including chucking and aligning irregular shapes; select wheels and operating sequence.
• Dress grinding wheels for various forms; inspect completed work with gages and profilometers.
• Participate in planning work within the Cell and assist in solving issues within the Cell.
