Job summary

J. Alexander's Restaurants Career Center is seeking a LINE COOK to join our open-kitchen concept. You will help maintain grill temps, prep and cook proteins, and ensure proper food temperatures while upholding sanitation standards.

Flexibility with shifts and a teamwork-driven environment are essential. Prior experience is preferred but not required, and opportunities for growth exist within SPB Hospitality family.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older to operate kitchen equipment.
• 1 yr. previous kitchen/culinary/chef experience is preferred, but not required.
• Experience and knowledge of kitchen equipment including knives, slicer, mixer, stoves, and ovens.
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts.

Responsibilities

• Maintain grill temperature throughout the shift.
• Work in an open-kitchen layout with visibility from dining room.
• Coordinate with teammates; communicate effectively with staff and management.
• Manage ticket orders for proteins and ensure proper food temps per company specs.
• Maintain a clean station and workspace and follow sanitation protocols.
• Perform opening and closing duties.
