Hardee's | STM Enterprises LTD is seeking a hands-on kitchen team member for breakfast to lunch shifts in Mason City, IA. You’ll operate the flat top grill, cook eggs and sausage, and assist the main cook as needed.

Training is available, and cross-training across the store helps you grow into more responsibilities. Primarily full-time, with day shift hours and a strong emphasis on guest needs, safety, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Prior grill experience is a plus but not required; willing to train the right person.
• Shows up reliably, pays attention, and takes the work seriously.
• Willing to cross-train in other store areas as you grow in the role.

Responsibilities

• Operate the flat top grill to cook eggs, omelets, and sausage for breakfast.
• Clean the fryer vat as part of the daily task list.
• Step in on the charbroiler during lunch service when needed.
• Assist the main cook and be an active part of the kitchen team.
• Maintain station cleanliness and stock while prioritizing guest needs.
• Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures on every shift.

Morning Production. Breakfast to Lunch.

This is a hands-on kitchen role built around the breakfast and lunch shift. You'll work the flat top grill cooking eggs, omelets, and sausage for the breakfast menu, keep up with daily kitchen tasks like fryer vat cleaning, and step into a cook position on the charbroiler during lunch when the line needs it. Every day has a task list — but the kitchen and the guests always come before secondary work.

Prior grill experience is a plus but not a requirement — we'll train the right person. What matters is that you show up, pay attention, and take the work seriously. Cross-training across other areas of the store is available as you grow into the role.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Operate the flat top grill — cook eggs, omelets, and sausage to order for the breakfast menu
• Clean the fryer vat as part of your daily task list
• Step in on the charbroiler during lunch service when the line needs support
• Assist the main cook as needed — you're part of the kitchen team, not just your station
• Work through your daily task list while keeping kitchen and guest needs as the priority
• Keep your station and surrounding area clean, organized, and stocked
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and safety procedures on every shift
