Job summary

HMSHost Corporation is hiring a Cook FF - Grill at the Chicago Airport for a fast-paced dining environment. The role requires handling multiple stations, grilling, frying, and egg cooking, while communicating with the manager and servers to ensure timely service.

The position is non-exempt and reports to the Store Manager or General Manager, with duties including following recipes, maintaining food safety, and supporting station readiness throughout shifts.

Qualifications

• Must have basic food preparation skills and knowledge of HACCP standards.
• Experience: 0–1 years in high-volume or fast casual dining.
• Ability to read, understand instructions and policy documents, and communicate with customers.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
• Must be able to stand, bend, twist and perform duties.
• Frequent handling of water and chemicals; use of sharp utensils and hot plates.

Responsibilities

• Follows recipes and product directions for cooking, seasoning, and serving items.
• Estimate production needs and requisition supplies as needed.
• Cleans and sanitizes workstations and equipment.
• Adheres to food safety and sanitation standards (HACCP).
• Operates kitchen equipment and prepares ingredients as required.
• Stocks, dates, rotates, and checks temperatures of products.
