Job summary

Guest Services Inc. is seeking a Grill Cook to prepare, cook, and serve foods on the grill while coordinating with the Executive Chef on daily and special menus. This role supports daily kitchen operations in a fast-paced environment.

A strong culinary knowledge base, food safety certification, and solid sanitation habits are essential. The candidate should excel in customer service and communication with management to address issues promptly.

Qualifications

• Partial High School education required; High School Diploma/G.E.D. preferred
• Culinary knowledge
• Food Safety certified and strong sanitation habits
• Strong customer service abilities; actively looks for ways to assist customers and coworkers
• Ability to recognize when a problem has occurred and communicate it to management

Responsibilities

• Setting up, restocking, and breaking down of the grill
• Daily production of meal items and daily menu specials
• Preparing daily specials, hot sandwich production, and sides for the hot slide
• Follow recipes and product directions for preparing, seasoning, cooking and tasting meats, vegetables, and other grilled foods
• Operate a variety of kitchen equipment to measure and mix ingredients, wash, peel, cut and shred food, and trim/cut meat and poultry
• Report all malfunctioning equipment to the supervisor
• Taste food products, read menus, estimate food requirements, check production, and keep records to plan production
• Control food production to recycle or dispose of extra food properly to manage waste
• Clean all equipment and utensils used in grill prep and production
• Maintain temperature logs and signage for the grill station
• Maintain awareness of safety issues and report them to the manager
