The role focuses on daily production, menu specials, and adherence to recipes, with a emphasis on food safety and sanitation. You will operate standard commercial cooking equipment, restock and break down the grill area, maintain temperature logs, and communicate issues to management.

Qualifications

• Partial High School education required; High School Diploma/G.E.D. preferred.
• Culinary knowledge.
• Food Safety certified and strong sanitation habits.
• Strong customer service abilities; actively looks for ways to assist customers and coworkers.
• Ability to recognize when a problem has occurred and communicate it to management.

Responsibilities

• Set up, restock, and break down the grill.
• Daily production of meal items and daily menu specials.
• Prepare daily specials, hot sandwich production, and sides for service.
• Follow recipes and directions for preparing, seasoning, cooking and tasting meats, vegetables, and other grilled foods.
• Operate kitchen equipment to measure and mix ingredients, wash, peel, cut and trim food.
• Report equipment malfunctions to the supervisor.
• Maintain temperature logs and signage for the grill station.
• Maintain safety awareness and report issues to manager.
