Job summary

Yellowstone National Park General Stores is hiring seasonal Grill Cooks for the 2027 Spring/Summer season in Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming. The role focuses on grilling, maintaining station cleanliness, and working with a culinary team to deliver quality meals.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and understand recipes and food abbreviations.
• Capable of working in a fast-paced environment with a high level of attention to detail.
• Ability to work as a team player, following procedures, and taking directions.
• Basic math skills, with the ability to calculate and follow recipe measurements.

• Prepare and cook grilled menu items according to standardized recipes and portion guidelines, ensuring quality, taste, and presentation meet company standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the grill station and surrounding areas.
• Set up, operate, and clean kitchen equipment according to correct procedures, as well as keep workstations clean, organized, sanitized, and sufficiently stocked.
• Work cooperatively with team members and management.
• Follow the supervisor’s assignments for opening and closing procedures.
• Other duties as assigned

Pay

$18.25 – $18.25 / hour

What will you do?

Physical requirements

• Must be able to lift 50 lbs or more
• Ability to stand for long periods while also bending, lifting, and reaching
• Ability to move rapidly and coordinate multiple orders
• May be exposed to variable temperatures, including extreme hot and cold
