Job summary

The Montana Department of Corrections is seeking a Grievance Coordinator to support increasing demands in the grievance process. This role oversees grievance functions, responds to formal grievances, and ensures procedural compliance across facilities, with potential court testimony on grievance procedures.

Qualified candidates have a bachelor’s degree in business or related field and at least three years of related experience.

• Three years of directly related work experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee grievance functions for the Mississippi facility, respond to and serve formal grievances, and ensure all procedural requirements are consistently followed.
• Provide clear explanations of the grievance process to offenders and coordinate with external departments and agencies as needed.
• May be required to testify in court regarding grievance procedures.
• Strengthen workflow, support staff, and ensure the integrity of the grievance process across multiple locations.
