Job summary

The Montana Department of Corrections (DOC) seeks a Grievance Coordinator for the Public Safety Division in Deer Lodge, MT. The role will oversee grievance functions, respond to formal grievances, and ensure procedural compliance across facilities while communicating clearly with offenders.

Additional duties may involve coordinating with external agencies and, when required, testifying in court regarding grievance procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business or related field.
• Three years of directly related work experience.
• Alternative combinations of education and experience will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Responsibilities

• Oversee grievance functions for multiple facilities and respond to formal grievances.
• Explain grievance processes to offenders and coordinate with external departments and agencies as needed.
• Testify in court regarding grievance procedures when required.
