Job summary

1898 & Co. in the United States seeks a Client Engagement Director, Grid Systems Consulting, to partner with electric utility clients and advance grid modernization programs. You will leverage deep expertise in grid operations and OT platforms to shape solutions and lead pursuit efforts.

The role requires hands-on experience with SCADA/EMS/OMS/DMS/ADMS/DERMS/AMI platforms and a track record of engaging executives and technical teams to drive growth and reliability improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, information technology, cybersecurity, finance, business, or related field.
• 13+ years of relevant experience in grid systems, OT/utility consulting, or related fields.
• Expert knowledge of grid operations technologies (SCADA, EMS, OMS, DMS, ADMS, DERMS, AMI) and utility OT architectures.
• Professional registration preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage client relationships with electric utilities to drive Grid Systems engagements.
• Lead strategy, scope, and pursuit activities for grid modernization programs.
• Collaborate with delivery teams to shape solutions, roadmaps, and system integration plans.
• Guide RFIs/RFPs and position services to improve reliability and grid efficiency.
• Mentor staff, coordinate with vendors, and ensure project alignment with client goals.
• Translate business needs into multi-disciplinary Grid Systems consulting offerings.
