Job summary

1898 & Co., a division of Burns & McDonnell, seeks a Grid Systems Consultant to modernize grid operations for electric utilities. You will contribute to strategy, requirements, and program management, with a focus on ADMS/DERMS deployments, SCADA, and OMS integrations.

You’ll gather client requirements, help roadmaps, run workshops, and produce technical docs while supporting post-deployment operations in a collaborative, client-facing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in engineering, business, IT, or related field.
• Work experience may substitute for the degree requirement.
• Minimum 5 years in Electric Utility Industry or equivalent.
• Experience with OMS/DMS/ADMS/AMI and DERs preferred.
• Experience with monarch platform (Emerson/Aspentech) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support design, configuration, testing of ADMS/DERMS solutions.
• Assist in building and validating distribution network models.
• Contribute to workshops, documentation, and project planning.
• Provide post-deployment support and client training.
