Job summary

The role involves direct actions across the Bulk Electric System to maintain stability and compliance with standards. The candidate will balance load, monitor contingency events, and participate in schedule management while working in a fast-paced environment with rotating shifts.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED.
• Bachelor’s Degree in related field preferred.
• Ability to pass the NERC System Operator Certification exam within six months of hiring.

Responsibilities

• Monitor power system, respond to alarms, and direct transmission switching activities.
• Dispatch generation resources to minimize production costs and maintain system security.
• Arrange, schedule, monitor and account for all interchange transactions; respond to Transmission Service requests.
