Job summary

Opal Grand Resort in Delray Beach, FL seeks a Host/Hostess to greet guests, coordinate seating, and manage reservations with courtesy and professionalism. You will interact with guests, maintain accurate waiting lists, and communicate effectively with wait staff and supervisors to provide an excellent dining experience.

The role requires flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays, with a hospitality-focused environment and employee benefits. Previous hospitality experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• Prior hospitality or hostess experience is a plus.
• Must have courteous phone skills and the ability to take accurate messages.
• Able to work nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests in a friendly, inviting manner.
• Take reservations using the restaurant system.
• Seat guests and manage waiting lists during peak times.
• Communicate with staff about tables availability and guest needs.
• Thank guests and invite them to return.
• Follow company policies and dress code.

Responsibilities:

• Greeting guests in a friendly and inviting manner
• Take reservations with the restaurant reservation system
• Engaging in friendly conversation as you seat guests in a timely fashion
• Managing restaurant waiting list during high volume to accurately set waiting time quotes for guests
• Manage inventory of tables available
• Always sincerely thanking guests as they leave and inviting them to return
• Other reasonable duties as assigned
• Communicate with wait staff and supervisors regarding availability of tables
• Communicate with supervisor any complaints or compliments
• Adhere to the rules and regulations of the company as defined in the employee handbook
• Always wear appropriate uniform provided by company policy

Qualifications:
