Job summary

Baylands Golf Links in Palo Alto, CA is seeking a part-time Greenskeeper to join the course maintenance team. You will help maintain the landscaping around the greens, tees, and fairways, ensuring optimal playing conditions and a positive experience for members and guests.

This role offers hands-on learning in golf club operations as part of Troon. Responsibilities include mowing, irrigation management, soil prep, seeding and fertilizing, hedge trimming, and applying pesticides and fertilizer as

• Ability to operate all tools and equipment related to golf course maintenance.
• Skilled in seeding, fertilizing, mulching and general ground preparation for restoration and renovation.

Responsibilities

• Maintains clean and organized work areas on the golf course and maintenance facility.
• Mows greens, approaches, fairways, rough, tees and other areas.
• Waters tees, greens and fairways; operates irrigation heads in dry areas needing additional water.
• Repairs the irrigation system, pipes and irrigation heads as necessary.
• Grades and prepares soil base, lays sod and seeds greens, tees and fairways.
• Trims and prunes hedges and shrubbery; cleans flower beds.
• Applies pesticides and fertilizer to the golf course.
• Performs related duties as assigned by supervisor or manager.

We are seeking a motivated individual who is interested in contributing to a positive experience for our members and guests while continuing to grow their knowledge of golf club operations. As an associate of Troon , you will contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.

Compensation:

$19.00 - $21.00 per hour

Summary:

The Greenskeeper is a key member of the course maintenance team and is responsible for the landscaping and maintenance around the golf course.
