Job summary

Baylands Golf Links in Palo Alto, CA, is seeking a part-time Greenskeeper to support the course maintenance team and enhance the member and guest experience. The role focuses on landscaping around the course and maintaining playing surfaces to high standards.

The ideal candidate has strong interpersonal skills, is highly organized, and can operate a range of maintenance tools. Duties include mowing, irrigation upkeep, soil prep, seeding, and applying pesticides and fertilizer as needed.

• Ability to operate all tools and equipment related to golf course maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Maintains clean and organized work areas on the golf course and maintenance facility.
• Mows greens, approaches, fairways, rough, tees and other areas.
• Waters tees, greens and fairways; operates irrigation heads as needed.
• Repairs irrigation system, pipes and irrigation heads as necessary.
• Grades and prepares soil base, lays sod and seeds greens, tees and fairways.
• Trims and prunes hedges and shrubbery; cleans flower beds.
• Applies pesticides and fertilizer to the golf course.
• Performs related duties as assigned by supervisor or manager.

Compensation

$19.00 - $21.00 per hour

Summary

The Greenskeeper is a key member of the course maintenance team and is responsible for the landscaping and maintenance around the golf course.
