Job summary

Teleli Golf Club in Sonora, CA, is seeking a full-time Greenskeeper to work with the Superintendent, helping to cut, maintain and improve the golf course. Beginner greenskeepers are welcome, with no prior experience required beyond basic maintenance knowledge.

Ideal candidates have flexible schedules with extended hours during golf and holiday seasons. A valid driver's license and ability to read/speak English are required to perform duties and communicate with staff.

Qualifications

• Less than high school education, or up to one month related experience or training, or equivalent.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Ability to read and speak English as required to perform duties.

Responsibilities

• Maintains clean and organized work areas on the golf course and maintenance facility.
• Mows greens, approaches, fairways, rough, tees and other areas.
• Waters tees, greens and fairways; operates irrigation heads as needed.
• Repairs irrigation system, pipes and irrigation heads as necessary.
• Grades and prepares soil base, lays sod and seeds greens, tees and fairways.
• Trims and prunes hedges and shrubbery; cleans flower beds.
• Applies pesticides and fertilizer to the golf course.
• Performs duties as assigned by supervisor or manager.

Teleli Golf Club, located in Sonora, CA, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a full-time Greenskeeper! We are seeking a motivated individual who is interested in contributing to a positive experience for our members and guests while continuing to grow their knowledge of golf club operations. As an associate of Troon, you will contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.

Compensation:

$17.00 - $19.00 per hour.

Summary:

Beginner Greenskeepers are welcome – while knowledge of grounds maintenance is preferred, previous experience is not required for the position. Ideal candidates have flexible schedules with availability to work extended hours during golf and holiday season, as needed.

• Repairs the irrigation system, pipes and irrigation heads as necessary
• Grades and prepares soil base, lays sod and seeds greens, tees and fairways
• Trims and prunes hedges and shrubbery; cleans flower beds
• Applies pesticides and fertilizer to the golf course
• Performs related duties as assigned by supervisor or manager

Education and Experience Requirements

• Less than high school education; or up to one-month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Valid Driver’s License
• Ability to read and speak English may be required in order to perform the duties of the job (e., the associates may be required to communicate with English speaking customers or co-workers, the manuals for the equipment the associates may use are in English)
