Job summary

Troon Golf, LLC in Alhambra, CA is seeking a Part-Time Greenskeeper to join the course maintenance team. The role focuses on landscaping and maintenance around the golf course, delivering clean, well-kept playing surfaces and a safe environment for staff and guests.

You will work under supervision to mow, water, repair irrigation, apply pesticides and fertilizer, and help with grounds preparation and seasonal restorations.

Qualifications

• Highly organized, efficient and detail oriented.
• Ability to design, coordinate and maintain landscaping on the golf course.
• Ability to operate tools and equipment related to golf course maintenance.
• Skilled in seeding, fertilizing, mulching and ground preparation for restoration and renovation.
• Must be dependable.

Responsibilities

• Maintains clean and organized work areas on the golf course and maintenance facility.
• Mows greens, approaches, fairways, rough, tees and other areas.
• Waters tees, greens and fairways; operates irrigation heads in dry areas needing additional water.
• Repairs the irrigation system, pipes and irrigation heads as necessary.
• Grades and prepares soil base, lays sod and seeds greens, tees and fairways.
• Trims and prunes hedges and shrubbery; cleans flower beds.
• Applies pesticides and fertilizer to the golf course.
• Performs related duties as assigned by supervisor or manager

Compensation

$16.90 - $19.00 per hour

Job Summary

The Greenskeeper is a key member of the course maintenance team and is responsible for the landscaping and maintenance around the golf course.

• Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Must be highly organized, efficient and detail oriented
• Must possess the ability to design, coordinate and maintain landscaping on the golf course
• Must possess the ability to operate all tools and equipment related to golf course maintenance
• Skilled in seeding, fertilizing, mulching and general ground preparation for restoration and renovation
