Job summary

Troon seeks a full-time Greenskeeper for Laguna Woods Village in Laguna Woods, CA. You will contribute to maintaining the golf course and related facilities to ensure an excellent experience for our members and guests.

Responsibilities include mowing, irrigation, soil work, hedges, and applying pesticides and fertilizer, with a requirement for a valid driver’s license and ability to read English. Flexible hours during golf season may apply.

Qualifications

• Less than high school education; or up to one-month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Valid Driver's License
• Ability to read and speak English may be required in order to perform the duties of the job

• Mows greens, approaches, fairways, rough, tees and other areas
• Waters tees, greens and fairways; operates irrigation heads in dry areas needing additional water
• Repairs the irrigation system, pipes and irrigation heads as necessary
• Grades and prepares soil base, lays sod and seeds greens, tees and fairways
• Trims and prunes hedges and shrubbery; cleans flower beds
• Applies pesticides and fertilizer to the golf course
• Performs related duties as assigned by supervisor or manager

Laguna Woods Village, located in Laguna Woods, CA, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a full-time Greenskeeper! We are seeking a motivated individual who is interested in contributing to a positive experience for our members and guests while continuing to grow their knowledge of golf club operations. As an associate of Troon, you will contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.

Compensation:

$20.00 - $22.00 per hour

Schedule:

Ideal candidates have flexible schedules with availability to work extended hours during golf and holiday season, as needed.

Education and Experience Requirements

• Regularly exposed to hot and/or humid conditions, toxic or caustic chemicals, moving mechanical parts, compact spaces, hot attic temperatures, and outside weather conditions
• Noise level is moderate
