Job summary

Bell Nursery is seeking a Maintenance Manager in Culpeper, VA, to lead the maintenance department, oversee technicians, and coordinate planned maintenance for the facility, with a focus on safety and reliable greenhouse operations.

This hands-on role requires knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, irrigation, production equipment installation and repair, and the ability to work with minimal supervision while driving improvements and ensuring OSHA compliance.

Qualifications

• Advanced technical degree or certification or equivalent experience.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with others.
• OSHA training and adherence to safety standards.
• Willingness to work extended hours and on-call as needed.

Responsibilities

• Repairs and maintains mechanical equipment in greenhouse operations.
• Perform preventative and scheduled maintenance on plant and facility equipment.
• Ensure functionality and reliability of all mechanical systems.
• Install and maintain new equipment and upgrades.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues; assist with repairs under supervision.
