Job summary

Growers Transplanting, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance I to maintain the greenhouse, warehouses and related structures. The role requires self-motivation, the ability to work independently and with the team, and hands-on skills across mechanical, plumbing and electrical tasks.

The candidate should have greenhouse maintenance experience and a high school diploma; bilingual English/Spanish is a plus. It is an hourly, non-exempt position with a strong emphasis on safety, documentation and efficient

Qualifications

• 1 year in general construction field.
• 3–5 years in greenhouse maintenance preferred.
• Bi-lingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Experience with mechanical, plumbing and electrical systems.
• Intermediate welding experience (stick/wire).
• Ability to install/diagnose/repair electrical components.
• Proficient with measuring tools and hand/power tools.
• Must read/write and follow instructions.
• Good math, detail orientation and safe work practices.
• Ability to operate tractors, forklifts, and other equipment.

Responsibilities

• Build and frame structures using materials and pre-constructed items.
• Install electrical components, run conduits and raceways.
• Repair greenhouse equipment and controls; manage heating and irrigation valves.
• Perform plumbing tasks, welding, and fabrication as needed.
• Inspect, maintain and repair mechanical and electrical systems.
• Keep accurate maintenance records and daily paperwork.
• Follow safety rules (OSHA) and maintain a clean, safe site.
