Job summary

Growers Transplanting, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance I to perform maintenance across greenhouse, warehouses, and related structures.

The ideal candidate will work independently yet collaborate as needed, maintaining all systems serving these areas with a proactive approach. Requirements include 1 year general construction, 3–5 years greenhouse maintenance, a High School Diploma or GED, and willingness to work long hours, weekends, and be on call during peak seasons.

Qualifications

• 1 year of general construction experience.
• 3–5 years in greenhouse maintenance.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Bi-lingual in English and Spanish preferred.
• Willing to work long hours, weekends, and be on call during peak seasons.
• Experience with mechanical, plumbing and electrical systems.
• Ability to install/diagnose/repair/maintain production and building equipment.
• Intermediate welding experience (stick and wire feed).
• Read and write.
• Follow complex instructions.
• Safety/OSHA knowledge.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
• Meet tight schedules.

Responsibilities

• Build and frame buildings/structures using various materials.
• Install electrical components and run conduits/ raceways.
• Repair and maintain greenhouse systems, heating, irrigation, and electrical.
• Perform inspections and document repairs.
• Maintain tools, inventory, and shop safety.
