Job summary

The Borough Supervisory role at the NYC Department of Environmental Protection oversees the maintenance of Green Infrastructure assets, trains full-time and seasonal staff, and coordinates field operations across the program. You will supervise cleaning of porous paver installations and infiltration basins, with a focus on safety, quality, and timely reporting.

Qualifications

• Four years of recent full-time experience in construction, maintenance or repair of sewers, streets, highways or water supply.
• At least one year of which must have been in a supervisory capacity.
• Equivalent experience accepted.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and trains full-time and seasonal staff in maintenance of green infrastructure.
• Oversees care of concrete and plastic inlet structures, pipes and concrete components.
• Oversees maintenance by contractors and safety compliance with procedures.
• Ensures vehicle preventative maintenance and fleet scheduling.
• Maintains field logs and evaluates work quality.
