Job summary

RR Donnelley is seeking an experienced press operator to set up, adjust, and run gravure and multi-color offset presses. The role requires meticulous attention to color accuracy, alignment, and maintenance to deliver high-quality printed materials.

You will review job specs, perform required make-ready tasks, correct colors, and ensure equipment is clean and well-maintained. A strong technical background and commitment to safety are essential.

Qualifications

• Requires knowledge of setting up and operating gravure and/or multi-color offset presses to produce single-, two-, or multi-color work with strict tolerances.
• Ability to perform make-ready tasks including hanging plates, installing cylinders, and aligning images.
• Skilled in color corrections, press adjustments, and basic troubleshooting to meet quality specs.

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust, operate, and maintain gravure or offset presses.
• Review job specs to determine proper press setup based on run imposition.
• Perform make-ready tasks: hang plates, install cylinders, inspect plates/cylinders for defects.
• Make color corrections and press adjustments to meet quality specs.
• Clean, lubricate, and maintain presses; perform minor repairs and replacements.
• Conduct periodic maintenance per manufacturer guidelines.
