Job summary

The Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation seeks a Grants Officer in Palo Alto to advance grantmaking operations through compliant processes from inception to closeout. You'll work with Program, Legal, Finance, and other teams to manage grant documentation, data integrity, and training, while leading cross-functional improvement initiatives and responsible AI use.

The role requires an initiative-taking, service-oriented professional with strong relationship skills, and expertise in contract

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 10+ years of relevant work experience in a not-for-profit or for-profit organization.
• Experience with contract drafting, negotiation, and management.
• Experience managing databases and maintaining data integrity.
• Advanced Excel and database management; basic AI skills with openness to learning more.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate grant documentation, agreements, and amendments; ensure approvals and accuracy.
• Deliver grantmaking training and support program teams and grantees.
• Maintain data integrity and oversee reporting alignment with systems.
• Provide guidance on policy, processes, and system use; support continuous improvement.
• Lead cross-functional projects and stakeholder engagement to enhance operations.
