The Virginia Department of Education seeks a Grants Monitoring Specialist to join the Finance team in Richmond. You will ensure compliance with federal grant provisions, analyze allocations, and oversee subrecipient reimbursements to support the department’s mission and strategic goals.
The role requires expertise in federal grant regulations, financial systems, and effective communication with government officials.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of federal grant reimbursement processes under ESEA, ESSA, IDEA, and CCDBG.
- Knowledge of federal laws/regulations applicable to local school divisions and subrecipients.
- Experience with Oracle Financials general ledger and payables; use of web-based systems.
Responsabilités
- Ensure compliance with post-award provisions of grant funds (CCDBG).
- Analyze grant allocations and subrecipient reimbursements.
- Determine subrecipient compliance with federal policies and grant terms.
- Ensure payments are processed accurately per regulations.
- Analyze budgets/expenditures; support budget development and modifications.
- Maintain complete documentation of spreadsheets and procedures.
- Assist or manage finance-related projects as needed.
- Provide timely, accurate technical assistance to requestors.
