Job summary

Axiom Consultants, Inc. is seeking an experienced Grants and Internship Program Support Specialist to assist the NOAA Office of Ocean Exploration with technical, administrative, and financial services for grant and internship programs.

The role includes lifecycle management, documentation, and coordinating meetings and reviews, with attention to confidentiality and regulatory compliance. Requires strong communication and problem-solving skills, and a collaborative team approach.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizen.
• Pass background screening prior to employment.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant area or equivalent education/experience.
• 2–4+ years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide full lifecycle management for grant and internship programs, including SOPs, announcements, reviewer management, and panel logistics.
• Prepare, organize, and maintain grant/award files and monitor phases through closeout.
• Develop and maintain tracking databases; coordinate data exchange with national/international organizations; schedule calls/meetings; prepare meeting materials.
• Provide daily accounting and bookkeeping services; monitor budget execution in government systems; identify budget issues and support negotiations.
