Job summary

City of Seattle is seeking a WA Cares Grants and Contracts Specialist to join a newly formed team. You will develop, manage, and monitor contracts with long-term care providers to help individuals remain safely in their homes and communities as they age.

The role reports to the WA Cares Supervisor and supports a statewide initiative across the Seattle-King County region. You will monitor contract compliance, provide technical assistance, and respond to inquiries from agencies and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Requires minimum one year professional experience in contract administration, budget management, planning, human services administration, and a bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• OR: An equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the position duties.
• Demonstrated ability to track, prioritize, and respond to a high volume of communications.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute contracts – review new provider applications and determine qualifications.
• Maintain up-to-date communication threads and tracking tools for multiple applications.
• Explain complex requirements in lay terms and develop contracts.
• Contract compliance and quality – conduct risk assessments and monitoring; prepare reports.
