Job summary

Aging and Adult Services of Coastal Washington (AASCW) in Aberdeen, WA is seeking a Contract Specialist to develop contracted services and manage contracts to meet state and federal obligations. The role involves negotiating terms and guiding statements of work, with travel required occasionally.

The ideal candidate has a liberal arts or social/health sciences background and at least three years in a related administrative planning role, with experience in long-term care or human services

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in liberal arts or social/health sciences; minimum of three years’ experience in an administrative planning position.
• Experience managing government and private contracts.
• Experience conducting competitive bidding processes.
• Experience in assessing compliance.
• Experience in provision of technical support to contractors.

Responsibilities

• Develop contracted services to meet state and federal contract obligations.
• Manage contracts and ensure compliance with fund source requirements.
• Conduct public procurement processes and negotiate contract terms.
• Monitor contractor performance and provide technical support to staff and partners.
• Represent the agency professionally to community, contractors, and groups; travel occasionally.
